A rundown of the 11 players currently on the disabled list for the Mets and a listing of others who have spent time on the DL this year for the club.
The lesson of the 2009 Mets season is: It can always get worse.
Just when it looked like the club might be turning the corner with its massive injury problems with the news that two players might return soon, more bad news hit. Saturday afternoon David Wright got hit in the head with a 94 mph fastball from Matt Cain. He was held overnight at a hospital, where it was determined he suffered a concussion but with no internal bleeding. Wright was placed on the disabled list and his season might be over.
So, for the sake of posterity, here are the 11 players currently on the disabled list for the Mets.

Alex Cora back on the disabled list and out for rest of the season. It’s now the Dirty Dozen on the DL.
