Francour is a solid player and I do like him. However, I would like to reserve the big dollars for a superstar. We need a consistent big bat in right field and committing that money his way is a mistake. Neither Francour, nor Pagan, are everyday players at this point in their careers. They are solid role players but not worthy of huge contracts. Pagan is the safer bet. Let another team pay Francour $15 million.

Brian, I would love to see an article on who the Mets should be targeting and their realistic chances of getting these players.

2009 Heath Bell > 2009 Francisco Rodriguez…….you look at advanced stats? Then you would know that Rodriguez is obviously in decline and in a couple of years, he won’t be able to live up to that nickname.

I loved Duffy! Thought i was the only one.Years back i was at a card show,had to have Duffys 1969 card.When i found it,it was not cheap! i said to guy”you don’t even know who Duffy Dyer is do you?” He said no and gave it to me for 1/2 price.
